《擲地–許懿婷個展》 包含天臺的現地行為與地下室的展覽。
回顧始於2014年的《飄浮身體》系列行為,以行為介入討論藝術場域、都市形貌、社會體制當中權力的運作,並針對2020年發表作品《上牆》(Up the Wall, 2020)的行為事件再延伸創作,使用具體物件包括:圖像、文件、裝置、現成物等,圍繞出行為事件的樣貌,嘗試處理『身體缺席』的空間問題。
行為之前,追溯「飄浮身體」系列行為之前的創作動機,來自個人面對意識形態國家機器這套看似溫和卻瀰漫神秘暴力的社會調控工具,我以短文、詩篇與繪畫記錄對社會機制的觀察。透過《擲地–許懿婷個展》,試圖整理「身體為何而動」的源頭,彙整繪畫與詩篇作品,整理創作者生命當中所面臨的『機制』。
“Knock the Floor – Hsu Yi Ting Solo Exhibition” includes one site-specific performance on the rooftop and an exhibition in the basement.
Looking back at the “Floating Body” performance series began in 2014, these actions intervene in the discussion of the operation of power within the artistic field, urban morphology, and social systems. The exhibition “Knock the Floor” extends from the performance work “Up the Wall” from 2020 and uses tangible objects including images, documents, installations, and ready-made objects to revolve around the appearance of these activities. The exhibition attempts to address the issue of “absence of the body” in space.
Before the performance, tracing back to the creative motivation behind the “Floating Body” series, personal experiences facing the ideological state apparatus – a seemingly gentle but pervasively mystically violent social control tool – are recorded through essays, poems, and paintings. Through the exhibition “Knock the Floor – Hsu Yi Ting Solo Exhibition”, the artist attempts to organize the origin of ‘why the body moves’, compiling paintings and poems, and sorting out the “mechanisms” faced in the creator’s life.
